This three-month calendar was designed based on the idea of Sport Manitoba that “Every Manitoban should have the opportunity to play and be active with the chance to compete at the highest level of their ability.” The idea relates to familiarity, equal opportunity and the value that sports are not some people’s exclusive property. The calendar design focuses on familiarity to get attention from all ages.
The calendar has a different illustration of athletes: weightlifter, hockey player and pole vault player. They have split complimentary colours and show diversity through their different skin colours. The figure is formed with blobs inspired by muscles, and it looks like colour clay and makes you feel friendly and generous. Also, the figure’s bright colours match the brand colour of Sport Manitoba.
